After what seems to have been an endless wait for fans, the NIHL Division 1 Moralee fixtures for the 2016-17 season have finally been released.
Whitley Warriors begin their league campaign with a home clash against Dumfries outfit Solway Sharks on Sunday 11 September before heading off to face Blackburn Hawks in the first road game of the season the following weekend.
In a tip of the hat to last December’s fixtures, Warriors face Blackburn Hawks a further three times in October including two home games on consecutive weekends.
Warriors welcome Moralee newcomers Deeside Dragons to Hillheads in the last game before Christmas, before opening 2017 at the Wigwam with a visit from local rivals Billingham Stars.
A stretch of games without any road trips in January and early February is followed by five road games in row including a weekend away double header to Sutton and Solihull respectively.
The regular season draws to a close with an away derby at Billingham Stars on 26 March.
