The NIHL North fixtures for the 2014-15 season have been released by the EIHA – and Warriors will open their league season away to Blackburn Hawks on 14 September (5:45pm face off).
Warriors’ first home league game is against Sutton Sting a fortnight later on 28 September, with face off at the usual time of 5pm. Sutton will be looking to better their fifth-place finish of last season and will not have forgotten that Whitley, while finishing on the same amount of points, beat the Sting into last season’s play offs through results between the teams.
The run-in at the end of the campaign is more difficult this season, with Warriors meeting Billingham Stars and Solway Sharks twice each within the last five games – Whitley finish the regular season with consecutive home games against both our most-northern opponents on 15 March (Solway) and 22 March (Billingham).
