Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that long serving forward Callum Watson will be part of the clubs roster for the 2017/18 season. Watson has proven himself to be amongst the top NIHL North forwards in recent years using his pace and trickery to great effect against opposition defences.

Callum has been part of the Warriors set up since 2006 when he first broke into senior hockey at Hillheads. Watto has gone on to ice in a number of league set ups for Warriors including the English National League, Northern League and the current NIHL North division that Warriors currently ply their trade in.

Callum’s best season’s statistically were the 2011/12 and 2012/13 campaigns when he managed to accumulate 49 points in both seasons. Callum also has a physical side to his game though as he is willing to drop the gloves against any opponent he comes up against when the need arises.

Watson was one of the most prolific players in NIHL North last season as the winger managed to notch 20 goals and grab a further 17 assists in the 26 games he took to the ice in which saw him average almost 1.5 points per game over the course of the campaign a superb statistic for a forward operating in such a competitive league.

If any individual or company would like to sponsor Callum or any of the other members of the Warriors set up they are invited to make contact through the contact page on Warriors website and then they can be put in touch with the player himself or Warriors General Manager/Assistant Coach Dave Holland.
