Defenceman Ross Connolly joins Warriors

Ross Connolly

Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of talented defenceman Ross Connolly from Invicta Dynamos.

Twenty-year-old Ross, originally from Paisley in Scotland, played for Solway Sharks’ Under-20, SNL and ENL teams before heading to Canada to play at Junior A level in the Greater Metro Hockey League with Tottenham Steam and Temiscaming Titans in 2015-16. He racked up thirteen points from the blue line in twenty-nine games before returning to the UK for a spell with London Raiders of the NIHL South Division 1, picking up one goal and six assists in eleven games.

Ross headed to the USA at the beginning of last season, playing seventeen games for Casper Coyotes of the Western States Hockey League before once again returning to the UK, this time with Invicta Dynamos.

Ross said, “Having spent the last three seasons abroad, I’m looking forward to my first full season in the NIHL North with Whitley Warriors. After speaking with David Longstaff over the summer I am looking forward to working with him and my new teammates and hopefully winning silverware this coming season.”

Welcome to Whitley Warriors, Ross!
