Whitley Warriors are very happy to end the current speculation around fan favourite Shaun Kippin – he’s a Warrior for 2018-19!
Shaun started his hockey career with Sunderland juniors before moving to the Whitley junior setup. He made his Warriors debut in 2002-03 while still playing for Whitley Tomahawks (under 16) and Whitley Braves (under 19). He was a regular feature in the Warriors roster until 2012-13 when a move south saw him sign for Deeside Dragons. Shaun spent two seasons at Deeside, which included two games on loan to Telford Tigers in the then EPL. He returned to Whitley Warriors in 2015-16 and last season was his best yet with 49 points from 35 games.
“I’m very happy to come back to the Warriors,” Shaun said this morning. “We made some good progress last year and I wanted to be back for more. I grew up with Ben Campbell so I am delighted he has signed for the team.”
Welcome back Shaun!
