Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that Nathan Ryder, Joe Harley and Mark Turnbull have all agreed to ice for the Hillheads based side during the 2013/14 campaign. Both Nathan Ryder and Joe Harley were part of Warriors first team squad last season while goaltender Mark Turnbull moves up to the senior set up having been part of the Whitley Braves under 18 side last term. Harris re-joins Warriors after stint in the EPL

Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that the accomplished blue liner Dan Harris has agreed to return to Hillheads after spending 2 years playing in the English Premier League with the Basingstoke Bison and Milton Keynes Lightning respectively. Dan has made over 80 appearances during his time in the EPL picking up 11 assists along with 38 minutes of penalties which illustrates that he was a key member of the 2 sides he iced for. National Ice Hockey League North restructure for 2013/4 campaign

Following some changes to the National Ice Hockey League North organisation Warriors will be icing in the Moralee Conference of NIHL North during the 2013/14 season rather than in the 1st Division of the set up. The new structure of NIHL North hockey sees 2 Conferences come into place with 8 sides operating in both the Moralee and Laidler sections. All of Whitley’s main rivals such as Billingham Stars, Solway Sharks, Sutton Sting and Blackburn Hawks will all still be playing Warriors on a regular basis in the Moralee conference. Hanlon agrees to move to Whitley, Barnes and coach Holland return

Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that power forward Jordan Barnes and defenceman Ross Hanlon have both agreed to ice on Tyneside for the 2013/14 season. Warriors coach Simon Leach has also been able to strengthen the club’s coaching staff as Dave Holland returns to Hillheads as one of Simon’s assistant coaches. Warriors name Watson, Maddock and Johnson on their 2013/14 roster

Whitley Coach Simon Leach has named another 3 players Callum Watson, Josh Maddock and Christian Johnson who will all be part of his Warriors roster for the coming campaign. Since being appointed coach last week Simon has now been able to name a total of 11 players who will form part of next seasons squad. Callum Watson is a superb re-signing for Whitley as he was Warriors top scorer last term with a superb total of 49 (17+32) points in 28 outings.
