Whitley Warriors only game this coming weekend sees Simon Leach’s side travel down to Ice Sheffield on Sunday afternoon to take on the Sutton Sting (face off 4.30pm) in a NIHL North Moralee Conference match up. Reynolds in fine form as Warriors beat Sutton 4-3 Whitley Warriors were in action once last weekend when Simon Leach’s side entertained the Sutton Sting on Sunday evening at Hillheads Ice Rink in Whitley Bay. Whitley Warriors have no fixtures this coming weekend which is the last thing the club and Head Coach Simon Leach wanted after Warriors took 3 points from their games against the Manchester Minotaurs and Telford Titans last weekend. Whitley currently occupy 2nd place in the NIHL North standings and ideally Warriors would have been back in action this weekend to continue their progress out on the ice. Whitley hammer Titans 13-1 at Hillheads

Following Saturday’s end-to-end game against Manchester Minotaurs, Warriors Head Coach Simon Leach chose to change his squad around a little for the home game against strugglers Telford Titans. Goaltending duties were shared by youngsters Mark Turnbull and Joe Harley while the other younger members of Whitley’s squad were also given significant ice time.
