There has been much speculation recently regarding the EPL/NIHL North Cup for the 2014/15 campaign as a number of sides from NIHL North division in which Warriors play are taking on the more northerly English Premier League clubs in the newly introduced competition.
Whitley Warriors can confirm that they will unfortunately not be participating in the competition as they were not invited to take part.
Warriors are hopeful that they will still be able to play in a cup competition during the upcoming campaign though and the club are looking into the possibility of taking on a number of Scottish sides in a new cup format with clubs north of the border. If such a competition was able to be devised Warriors supporters would be able to look forward to taking on a number of new sides at Hillheads during the 2014/15 term.
Whitley Coach Simon Leach is actively trying to secure a cup competition for Warriors to play in as participation in such a competition would allow Warriors to provide many of the clubs promising young players valuable competitive match experience at senior level.
As soon as any further information regarding cup competitions for Warriors in the 2014/15 season is known the club will update the supporters via the clubs website and fans forum.
