Warriors forward Holland suffers serious injury

Dean Holland #14 carries the puck

Whitley Warriors home game with the Kirkcaldy Kestrels on Sunday evening was unfortunately abandoned following a fracas between players from both sides. Warriors led the game 8-0 at the time the game was called off with 31 minutes on the clock.

Warriors alternate captain and talisman Dean Holland unfortunately suffered a very serious injury during the match up as the Whitley number 14 suffered a fractured bone in his pelvis, a torn groin and a concussion after an extremely unpleasant and unsavoury incident out on the ice.

Dean is now thankfully out of hospital and the popular forward is hoping that he can be back in action in a 5 to 6 month timescale providing his recovery goes to plan. Dean would like to thank all the Warriors fans and hockey supporters in general who have wished him well since the incident occurred on Sunday evening at Hillheads Ice Rink in Whitley Bay.

Everyone associated with the Warriors would like to wish Dean all the best as he bids to recover from the injury he suffered against the Kestrels and we all hope he can get back to his normal self as soon as possible.
