Whitley Warriors are set to hold a Legends Night featuring Legends from both the Whitley Warriors and the Durham Wasps on Friday 19th February at 7pm at 42nd Street in Whitley Bay.
Tickets are priced at £5 and it would be great to see a large number of supporters attend the event and enjoy what is set to be a superb night of hockey related stories and banter.
Warriors current player/coach David Longstaff and former coach Simon Leach are 2 of the Warriors legends who will be in attendance along with former Whitley blue liner Terry Ord.
While the likes of Peter ‘Jonker’ Johnson, Shaun Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Michael Tasker and Ivor Bennett will all be representing the Durham Wasps at the event.
John Iredale who has iced for both Whitley and Durham during his career will also be in attendance and it is anticipated that John could face some tricky questions from fans of both the Warriors and Wasps during the event.
Tickets can be bought online and at Warriors home games from Supporters Club representatives. It is anticipated that another north east hockey legend will be added to the Legends Night line up in the near future.
