Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the re-signing of talented young forward Ollie Jardine.
Jardine, 16, came through the Whitley ranks and has represented England at Under 14 and Under 15 level, and Great Britain at Under 16. His debut senior season in SNL could not have gone better for him – 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in 31 games, with only 14 minutes in penalties. Quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite, Jardine has a bright future in the game ahead of him. In order to extend his development further, Jardine will also be on a two-way deal with NIHL National side Sheffield Steeldogs, and will be available to ice for Sheffield if Warriors do not have a game.
“It’s great to be back,” Jardine told us. “I’m very grateful for the team and coaching staff’s support to push to the next level. I enjoyed every minute of last season and I can’t wait to get going again in front of our incredible fans and push for more this season. See you all soon!”
“Ollie had a very good first senior season and you could see him developing every game,” Head Coach Tony Hand said. “We are glad to have him back for another season and to help his development we have arranged for him to be on a two-way with Sheffield Steeldogs when not playing for the Warriors. I know the coach there well and he will help push Ollie on.”
Welcome back Ollie!
