The Scottish National League has today released the league and cup fixtures for the upcoming season.
Warriors open their league account at home to North Ayrshire Wild on Sunday 6 September. Highlights of the season include our second ever home double-header as Warriors face Paisley Pirates and Kirkcaldy Kestrels at Hillheads on the weekend of 17/18 October. The longest away trip, a Saturday jaunt to Aberdeen Lynx, can be found in November and again in February.
Warriors play Edinburgh Capitals at Murrayfield on Saturday 12 December, a great opportunity to have a look around the Edinburgh Christmas markets before the game. The league season closes with Edinburgh making a trip to Hillheads on 28 March – could it be a crucial game? We’ll have to wait to find out!
Warriors will play Paisley Pirates in the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals, with the possibility of facing Capitals in the semi finals home and away if Warriors are successful in the quarters. Last season’s bottom two teams in the league, Kilmarnock Thunder and North Ayrshire Wild, will play off to decide who proceeds in the cup competition, as Warriors did with Solway Sharks SNL last season.
A Christmas Cup series against NIHL N1 team Billingham Stars has been agreed between the respective teams’ owners and dates and times will be announced shortly.
