Longstaff and Holland remain at Hillheads

Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that Player/Head Coach David Longstaff and Assistant Coach Dave Holland will continue to run the Warriors bench for the 2017/18 season. Warriors have enjoyed much success under the coaching team of Longstaff and Holland during the last 2 campaigns when Whitley finished 2nd in the NIHL North standings in their first season in charge before narrowly missing out on championship play offs in the 2016/17 term.

Warriors aim to bring more youngsters into their squad over the next season as Whitley look to ice a fast and youthful side that can more than match any other team in the NIHL North set up. Warriors have been able to develop talent such as Callum Queenan, Kyle Ross, Mark Turnbull, Ben Richards in recent seasons and with the likes of Craig Johnson, Liam Smedley, Ross Douglass, Anthony Wetherall and Jamie Ord all ready to make an impact in the senior line up Whitley look to have a great number of youngsters ready to make a mark for Warriors.

Dave Holland is also taking on the role of Warriors General Manager as Whitley look to improve and grow both on and off the ice in the coming months ahead of the 2017/18 season when Warriors will look to be as competitive as possible.
