Whitley Warriors game against the Whitley Bay Islanders which is to be played on Thursday 31st August at 9.15pm will now unfortunately have to be played behind closed doors.

Discussions about the fixture between Warriors management and Hillheads Rink management have taken place recently in the hope that the supporters could attend the game and get behind their team however after lengthy consultation between all parties it has been mutually agreed that the fixture will have to be behind closed doors due to a number of rules and regulations.

Warriors hope to see as many supporters as possible at their other pre-season fixture at Hillheads on Sunday September 3rd when Whitley take on a team from the Combined Armed Forces in a game that gets underway at the clubs normal 5pm face off time.

Warriors are set to announce 2 further members of the Whitley squad for the upcoming season this week as David Longstaff and Dave Holland continue to build the pool of players at their disposal ahead of the 2017/18 campaign in NIHL North Division 1.
