Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that stalwart Callum Watson is back for another season in the maroon and gold. A product of the Whitley Bay junior system, Callum has played exclusively for Warriors at senior club level.

28-year-old Watson first iced for Warriors in 2006-07, playing four games and bagging his first senior goal in the playoffs while still icing for the Under 16 and Under 18 sides. He also represented Great Britain at Under 18 level, scoring three points from five games.

Callum missed a good chunk of the season before last due to injury but was back on form last season, racking up thirty-four points from thirty-eight games. As he enters his fourteenth consecutive year with Whitley Warriors, he told us, “I’m looking forward to the season ahead and seeing how the league looks after re-structuring. I think we will be up there aiming to win the league this year which will be exciting!”

Welcome back Callum!
