The SNL league fixtures for 2025-26 have now been released – and Whitley Warriors are looking forward to the new season’s adventures.
Following Warriors’ pre-season friendly series against local rivals Billingham Stars, the league campaign begins on Saturday 6 September with a trip to Aberdeen Lynx. This game is sure to be poignant as both teams will want to pay tribute to Gary Kelly, who sadly passed away this week.
Warriors’ first home league game is the following Sunday, 14 September, when Solway Sharks’ new SNL unit pays a visit to Hillheads. Due to an odd number of teams for the Scottish Cup, as new league members the first home and away games against Sharks will be cup qualifiers, with the winner over two legs playing Paisley Pirates in the next round.
Heading into the festive period, there’s a trip to Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday 13 December – right in the middle of the Edinburgh Christmas Market season. Between Christmas and New Year, Warriors and Stars will continue their new tradition of the Tyne Tees Winter Classic – a friendly series over the weekend of 27 and 28 December.
The new year has a busy run of four consecutive home games in January and February while business end of the season sees the last two league games at Hillheads, Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Edinburgh Capitals the visitors. The Kestrels game is one of two Saturday games this season, the other one being Kilmarnock Thunder in October.
All fixtures are available on our fixtures page, and you can download the fixtures graphic here. A calendar link will be available soon, and over the next few weeks we’ll take a closer look at each SNL team in a series of articles on the website.
