Scottish Cup Final Heading to Fife Ice Arena

Scottish Cup Final 2026 - Edinburgh Capitals vs Whitley Warriors at Fife Ice Arena, Saturday 11 April, face off 7pm

Scottish Ice Hockey can confirm that the 2026 Scottish Cup Final will take place at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday 11 April, with Edinburgh Capitals set to face Whitley Warriors.

Face-off for the final is scheduled for 7:00pm, bringing together two of the strongest sides competing in Scottish hockey for one of the major trophies of the season.

The road to the final began earlier in the season when newcomers Solway Sharks and Whitley Warriors competed for a place in the quarter-finals. From there, the eight teams competing in the Scottish National League entered the competition, with teams progressing through the quarter-finals and semi-finals before the two finalists were decided.

Capitals have been one of the standout teams in Scottish hockey this season, while Warriors have made an immediate impact in their first season competing within Scottish competition and have quickly established themselves as a strong contender.

The day will also feature the Women’s Playoffs, which begins at 4:00pm. The three Scottish Ice Hockey registered women’s teams will compete in a mini round-robin format, with the top two teams progressing to the Women’s Playoff Final later in the schedule.

The women’s section is the newest competitive section within Scottish Ice Hockey, and its inclusion on finals day highlights the continued development and growth of the women’s game in Scotland.

Scottish Ice Hockey Chairman John Colley said:

“The Scottish Cup Final is always one of the highlights of the season and we’re delighted to host this year’s event at Fife Ice Arena. Edinburgh Capitals and Whitley Warriors have both had excellent seasons and it sets up what should be a fantastic final. It’s also great to have the Women’s Playoffs taking place on the same day, showcasing the continued growth of the women’s section within Scottish Ice Hockey.”

With two trophies to be decided and a full schedule of hockey planned, supporters can expect a busy arena and a great atmosphere in Kirkcaldy.
