Whitley Warriors can confirm that Adam Reynolds, Rob Wilson, Jamie Tinsley and Martin Crammond will all wear the maroon and gold next term. Jamie and Martin were part of Warriors set up last season while Adam and Rob have both played for Whitley in the recent past.
Whitley Coach Simon Leach shared his views on the players he has signed up. Firstly mentioning the clubs 2 impressive new signings Rob Wilson who comes out of retirement to join Warriors and Adam Reynolds who moves back to Hillheadshaving spent the last 2 seasons in the Scottish borders with the Solway Sharks.
“When I came in I identified that Warriors were a little short on numbers at the back last season and the signing of Rob Wilson brings a great deal of quality and experience to our blue line.
“Adam Reynolds is one of the top players in the league his points tally over the last few seasons clearly illustrate that. He is a proven goalscorer (62 points last term at an average of 2 points per game) who is a great addition to our line up.
“We are not looking to make wholesale changes to the squad just to add quality in key areas.”
Simon then turned his attention to the two players Jamie Tinsley and Martin Crammond who have re-signed for Warriors
“Jamie Tinsley has played at a higher level in the past (Elite League with the Newcastle Vipers) and is a highly influential player in the NIHL set up (13 goals last term) who is a greatasset to have in our set up.
“Martin Crammond has been part of the Warriors organisation for a number of years now, he is a versatile player who brings a great deal to the team.”
Despite only being appointed Whitley’s Coach this weekSimon is working extremely hard on recruiting the right players and Warriors hope to be able to announce some further signings in the next few days as Simon continues to build his roster for the coming season.
