Warriors continue to prepare for 2014/15 season

Despite the 2014/15 season not set to get underway until the autumn Whitley Warriors have been very busy in the close season as the clubs coaching team in Simon Leach and Dave Holland has been confirmed while 13 players have committed themselves to the Warriors cause for the coming campaign.

The majority of these players were with Warriors last season though capturing players such as Richie Lawson, Paul Matthews, Adam Reynolds and Jamie Tinsley so early in the summer break is superb recruitment from the clubs coaching staff. Warriors have also been able to add the experienced former English Premier League forward Dean Holland to their ranks which further strengthens Whitley’s roster.

Warriors top scorer from last season Adam Reynolds who will be icing for Whitley next term recently spoke about how he thought the clubs squad was shaping up and also what he hoped the coming season would bring.

“The squad is looking really good so far we have recruited a lot of last year’s team who are all good players and brining Dean (Holland) back will be a big signing for us.

“Hopefully our Coach Simon (Leach) might be able to bring another couple of new faces in as well.

“On a personal note I’ll always be giving everything I have for the team and as long as we are getting good results out on the ice I will be happy.”

Since the end of the last campaign Warriors press releases have been issued weekly as part of Warrior Wednesdays, going forward during the summer months Warriors envisage issuing press releases on roughly a fortnightly basis depending on news and issues that have a bearing on the club.
