Whitley Warriors have 2 road games this weekend as Simon Leach’s side take on the Sheffield Spartans on Saturday afternoon at Ice Sheffield before facing the Billingham Stars on Teesside on Sunday evening. Warriors will be looking to build upon last weekend’s superb 5-3 success against the Solway Sharks which saw influential forward Adam Reynolds back on the Whitley roster after a lengthy spell out of action due to a broken ankle.

Whitley Warriors entertained the Solway Sharks on home ice on Sunday evening at Hillheads ice rink in Whitley Bay. Warriors were boosted by the return of long term absentee Adam Reynolds who was able to ice after being out of action for around 3 months with a broken ankle.

Whitley Warriors Head Coach Simon Leach has announced that he will step down from his current role with the club at the end of the current campaign. Simon hopes that he will be able to help Warriors in the future in a number of off ice areas and is keen to remain part of the organisation he has been involved with for around 25 years.

Whitley Warriors hosted the league leaders the Blackburn Hawks on Sunday evening on Tyneside in a NIHL North Division 1 encounter. Warriors started the game well and took the lead just 5 minutes into proceedings when Dean Holland found the back of the net from close range.
