Warriors were able to name recent signing Sam Zajac in their line up however Whitley were without a number of influential players such as Daniel Pye, Martin Crammond, Adam Finlinson, Mark Turnbull and Harry Harley.

This was to be the first ever game between Warriors and Steeldogs following Sheffield’s move from the now defunct EPL into the NIHL North set up.

Whitley end weekend with road defeat

Richie Lawson Warriors headed down to Solihull on Sunday evening a little short on bodies as the likes of DJ Good, Callum Watson, Ben Richards, Dan Pye, Josh Maddock and Ryan Sample were all unable to make the trip down to the Midlands. Warriors were still able to travel with 17 bodies including the netminding duo of Mark Turnbull and Richie Lawson.
