Whitley Warriors game against the Whitley Bay Islanders which is to be played on Thursday 31st August at 9.15pm will now unfortunately have to be played behind closed doors.
Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that long serving forward Martin Crammond and the uncompromising d man Dan Pye will be part of the clubs roster for the 2017/18 campaign in NIHL North Division 1. Warriors squad for the new season is now nicely taking shape with a number of last year’s roster signed up plus the addition of forwards Kyle Ross and Adam Finlinson.
Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that d man Josh Maddock and skilful forward Ben Richards have both agreed to remain part of the David Longstaff’s squad for the 2017/18 campaign. Both players came through the junior ranks at Hillheads and have been part of the senior set up for a number of years now.
Whitley Warriors are pleased to announce that experienced forwards Jordan Barnes and Shaun Kippin will be part of the Hillheads set up for the 2017/18 season that is set to get underway in early September. Both players have enjoyed the last 2 seasons under the tutelage of the coaching duo of David Longstaff and Dave Holland and will be looking to have another successful campaign this coming term.
Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that Dean Holland and Harry Harley will both be part of the Warriors roster for the coming campaign in NIHL North Division 1. Both players have been with Warriors for a number of seasons now and have proved themselves to be 2 of the most influential players in the league on their day.
As many fans will have seen the set up of the NIHL North leagues has a different look to for the 2017/18 season with a number of new teams now set to ice against Warriors in Division 1 of the Northern Section of NIHL hockey in England. With the demise of the English Premier League, Division 1 of NIHL North and South are now the 2nd tier of British hockey.
Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that 19 year old forward Adam Finlinson will be part of their squad for the 2017/8 season. Finlinson played his hockey for the Swindon Wildcats last season in the now defunct English Premier league picking up 10 points during the course of their entire league and play off campaign.
Kyle Ross will ice for Warriors next term having spent the 2016/17 campaign in North America continuing his hockey education. Kyle first iced for Warriors in the 2013/14 season and went onto appear in the 2 following campaigns for Whitley as he became accustomed to hockey at senior level.
