Robinson signs for Warriors

Adam Robinson

Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of right winger Adam Robinson from Dundee Comets.

Robinson, 26, came through Belfast Giants’ Under 18, Under 20 and SNL sides before icing for Solway Sharks for a few games. In 2016 he made the move to Meaford Knights in Canada’s GMHL where he was named Alternate Captain and linked up with a young Callum Queenan, who was spending time in Canada himself.

Returning to the UK in 2017, Robinson broke into Belfast Giants’ Elite League squad before being named Captain of the SNL Giants in 2019. He moved to Dundee Comets last season where he helped them to a double-winning season. He will wear the number 17 shirt for Warriors next season.

“I’m super excited to join Whitley,” Robinson said. “I am very familiar with Tony’s style of play, and with the guys we have already signed I have no doubt that we will have a successful year!”

Head Coach Tony Hand told us, “Adam has been in and around Elite setups in Belfast for a number of years and last season was part of the Dundee Comets’ double winning team. When speaking to Adam I was struck by his enthusiasm and his desire to play for the Warriors and I think he will be a hard working player that will fit into the systems we will play.”
