Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of promising young forward Gary Kelly on a two-way deal with Aberdeen Lynx.
17-year-old Kelly grabbed 26 goals and 16 assists for 42 points last season for Lynx and has 9 points from 4 games in the SNL at the time of writing. Kelly is looking forward to linking up with his new team mates. “I’m extremely excited to be given this opportunity by Tony [Hand] and Willie [Dunn] to play for such a historic club and I’m looking forward to testing myself in the NIHL,” he told us.
Head Coach Tony Hand said, “Gary trained with us pre-season and again this week and I have been impressed with his work rate and commitment.”
Gary will go into straight the roster and will be available to face Billingham this weekend. Whitley Warriors would like to thank our friends at Aberdeen Lynx for making this possible.
