Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Jamie Ord for the upcoming season.
Heading into his eighth season with the Warriors, 23-year-old Ord started out with Whitley’s junior setup, progressing to captain the Under 15s in his 2015-16 campaign further to icing for the Under 18s to collectively record 41 goals and 9 assists across 22 league games.
In the following season, Ord made his senior debut with the Warriors, collecting 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 league games whilst also fulfilling the role of alternate captain for the Under 18s and tallying 33 points in 17 appearances for the Under 20s. He made the step to senior hockey in 2021, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 4 others in the process. He has continued to be an effective forward since.
“I’m looking forward to being back and hopefully we can build on last season’s performance,” Ord said last week.
“Jamie had a good season and when we spoke he had no hesitation in coming back,” Head Coach Tony Hand said. “We both think he can deliver more this season and I’m looking forward to working with him once more.”
Welcome back Jamie!
