Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Lewis Crisp.
24-year-old Crisp began his hockey career with Billingham’s junior setup, becoming captain of the U16 side in 2014 and going on to be Under 18s alternate captain by 2015. He made his senior debut with the Stars in the same season and following year captained the U18 team while also icing for the Under 20s outfit. A move to Whitley level saw him wear the A for the Under 20s, returning to Stars for his first full senior season in 2019. In his last season at Billingham he bagged 4 goals and 4 assists before moving to Warriors for 2022-23. Last season he was appointed Alternate Captain by Head Coach Tony Hand.
“I can’t wait to get back on the ice in front of the fans!” Crisp told us. “It was a shame the way last season ended but I’m certain that with the group of lads we’ve got this year that we will be able to produce good things and hopefully bring home some silverware!”
“Lewis knows what will be required this season and is working hard to get more ice time and push those around him,” Tony Hand said.
Welcome back Lewis!
