Whitley Warriors have released Patriks Grigors by mutual consent with immediate effect.

Grigors had committed to playing for the Warriors but a change in his work pattern before Christmas meant he could not commit to travel or play on a regular basis. It was decided it was best for the club and Patriks that he seek a club closer to home.

“It had become difficult for Patriks to travel for games due to work so we felt this was the best solution all round and we wish him well,” Head Coach Tony Hand said.

“I’ve enjoyed my time at Whitley and the fans have been great to me and welcomed me,” Patriks said. “I was enjoying my hockey but due to changes at work which meant I could not commit to the travelling to games particularly away it was felt that this was the best way forward. I would like to thank the club and the fans for my time there and wish them well for the rest of the season.”

Whitley Warriors Ice Hockey Club would like to thank Patriks and wish him well for the future.
