Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that young forward Owen Yarrow has re-signed for the upcoming season.
A product of the Whitley Bay junior system, Yarrow recorded his first points in the Under 15s in 2017 before going on to captain the side two years later. A spell with the Under 18s followed before making his senior debut two years ago.
Yarrow, son of former Whitley Warrior Alan Yarrow, has not spent as much time on the ice as he would have liked, missing much of last season to suspensions and the season before to injury.
“I’m glad to be back for another season,” Owen said. “Last season was cut short for me due to suspensions but I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice with the boys and competing in a new league.”
“I thought Owen had a very strong start to the season last year and showed what he can bring to the team,” Head Coach Tony Hand said. “I expect to see more of that this season and believe he can make a real impact on the SNL.”
