Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that netminder Jacob Midgley has been given a full spot on the 2025-26 roster.
Midgley, 17, was previously classed as a junior playing up to senior level but his performances both in training and in last Sunday’s game against Paisley Pirates have impressed Head Coach Tony hand and earned him a squad number.
“Jacob has been training with us and has impressed,” Tony Hand said. “It was good to see him on the ice on Sunday – he equips himself well and will learn a lot from Tom and Josh.”
“I’m very excited to be signing with the Warriors this season,” Jacob told us. “I’ve really enjoyed training with the team so far this season – we look quite strong at the moment so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.”
Jacob will swap whichever goalie shirt is available for his own #72 shirt this season – his home, away and warm up shirts are available to sponsor immediately, as are the rest of the range of opportunities in player sponsorship.
Welcome to Whitley Warriors (officially), Jacob!
