Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of experienced forward Ben Campbell from Guildford Flames.
A home-grown talent, Ben started his hockey career at Whitley Bay, coming through the ranks of the junior club before making his Warriors debut in 2002-03. Aged just 19, he signed for Newcastle Vipers, icing for their ENL and EIHL sides. Ben played 248 EIHL games for the Vipers over four seasons.
In 2009-10 Ben signed for Guildford Flames of the then EPL and spent eight seasons there, scoring a stunning 345 points on the way.
“I’m excited to be back playing with the Warriors after many years away,” Ben told us. “I’ve grown up playing with a lot of the boys on the team so when I decided to move back to the north east, it was an easy decision to rejoin the team.”
