Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that forward Adam Finlinson will return to the roster for the upcoming season.

21-year-old Adam began his hockey career with Northern Stars before joining up with Whitley Bay Junior Ice Hockey Club. After a brief spell with Kingston juniors, he moved to Swindon Wildcats of the then English Premier League where he spent three seasons. Adam also represented Great Britain at Under 18 level in ten games. He returned to Whitley in 2017-18, bagging six goals and nine assists from twenty-one games.

“I didn’t get much time at home last season due to work commitments as I work away but I managed to watch a few games,” Adam said yesterday. “I didn’t think it would be fair to sign and let the team down by not being able to play the majority of games.

“I decided to return to the Warriors because I missed playing, Whitley is my home team and where I grew up. Taking a season out was hard for me so when I got the opportunity to sign again I jumped on it.”

Adam gave us his thoughts for the season ahead: “Looking at the team so far and the changes made to the league I can’t see why we can’t head in to every game believing we can win and challenge for the league title.”

Welcome back Adam!
