Forward Phil Edgar has scooped up the EIHA’s Player of the Month award for November after being shortlisted alongside Solway Sharks’ Lewis Houston and Solihull Barons’ Tom Soar.
Scoring in three of the four cup games Whitley played last month, Edgar has helped his team to achieve a place in the NIHL North Cup semi-finals, contributing 4 goals and 3 assists in those games, besides netting a hat-trick against fellow league contenders Solihull Barons three weeks ago to find himself level on 11 goals with Warriors’ top points scorer Ben Campbell. Following his cup exploits, Edgar sits second in Whitley’s NIHL North Cup points production standings with 14 points from 6 games and he is his team’s top goal scorer in the contest with 9 goals to his name.
Having proved highly influential last month, there is no doubt that Phil is deserving of this recognition and everyone at Whitley Warriors would like to congratulate him on his accomplishment.
