Whitley Warriors welcome back young left winger Thomas Fraser for the 2021-22 campaign.
18-year-old Fraser started out in Whitley’s junior setup and soon impressed, collecting 36 points in 13 league games during his 2016-17 season with the Tomahawks whilst fulfilling the role of alternate captain for the side.
Fraser was then awarded the captaincy in the following season and finished as the outfit’s top points scorer with 28 goals and 6 assists in 12 league games as well as averaging 2 points per game in 16 appearances for the Braves. He captained the Under 18s team in his second season with the side and again finished as top points scorer with 58 points in 15 league games further to picking up 12 points in 14 appearances for the Renegades.
In his 2019-20 season, the left winger made his senior debut, playing 11 games and netting his first goal for the Warriors. He also retained his captaincy with the Braves, stepped into the role of alternate captain for the Renegades and finished the season as top points scorer for both the Under 18s and Under 20s sides.
Hoping to build on the excellent start he made to his senior career last season, Fraser told us, “It’s been strange having a first break from hockey in 10 years but I have kept up my fitness and I’m eager to get back on the ice and pick up from where me and the boys left off. I’ve just completed two Great Britain Under 20s camps and it’s given me the buzz back. I can’t wait to get back with the lads and get on the ice in front of our fans again and give them something to cheer about.”
Welcome back, Thomas!
