Following the news that the format for NIHL North 1 Moralee was confirmed for next season, we received information from the NIHL Management team late last night regarding an error in their original communication.
Following the expiration of an appeals period for the removal of a team where no appeal was filed, Nottingham Lions will not be competing in NIHL North 1 this coming season. The teams in the league are now confirmed as follows:
- Billingham Stars
- Blackburn Hawks
- Deeside Dragons
- Hull Jets
- Sheffield Scimitars
- Solihull Barons
- Whitley Warriors
- Widnes Wild
This change means that teams will play 28 league games and 6 league cup games next season. This will comprise 2 home and 2 away matches against the other teams in the league and 1 home and 1 away in the league cup with the 8 teams split into two groups of 4.
Other information from yesterday’s announcement is unchanged.
