Whitley Warriors invite sports fans from around the region to ‘Join the Tribe’ on Sunday evening when Warriors face off against the Solway Sharks in a NIHL North Division 1 match up on home ice at Hillheads Ice Rink in Whitley Bay, Tyneside.
The entire Warriors organisation are hoping that their ‘Join the Tribe’ promotion will see their biggest home crowd of the campaign come along to Hillheads as Whitley look to get back to winning ways and the end the season with as many points as possible in the NIHL North Division 1 standings.
Warriors have already got the better of the Solway Sharks once this term and everyone connected with the organisation will be getting behind their side as Whitley look to claim another victory over Martin Grubb’s side from the Scottish borders.
Warriors top scorer from the 2013/14 season Adam Reynolds spoke about how a passionate crowd can help him and his teammates out on the ice.
“It would be great to get a big crowd behind us on Sunday when we take on the Solway Sharks we need the crowd to be that extra player for us and help get us finish the season off as strongly as possible.
“If we can get 2 wins this weekend we can hopefully build on that going forward.”
Fans are encouraged to bring along family and friends who may have never been to an ice hockey game before and experience a night of top family entertainment. The game gets underway on Sunday at 5pm with doors opening at 4.30pm tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £6 for children while a family ticket can be bought for £23.
