Whitley Warriors are delighted to confirm the re-signing of forward Jamie Ord for their upcoming campaign.
Heading into his ninth season with the Warriors, 24-year-old Ord started out with Whitley’s junior setup, progressing to captain the Under 15s in his 2015-16 campaign further to icing for the Under 18s to collectively record 41 goals and 9 assists across 22 league games.
In the following season, Ord made his senior debut with the Warriors, collecting 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 league games whilst also fulfilling the role of alternate captain for the Under 18s and tallying 33 points in 17 appearances for the Under 20s. He made the step to senior hockey in 2021, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 4 others in the process. He has continued to be an effective forward since with last season’s tally of 14 goals and 11 assists his best to date.
Head Coach Tony Hand confirmed last season’s progress: “Jamie had his best season for the Warriors and I am looking for him to kick on again this year,” he said.
“I’m glad to be back for another year and I’m looking forward to the new challenge that lies ahead of us,” Jamie said.
