Whitley Warriors have today revealed the brand new designs of the team shirts for the upcoming season.
The shirts, from Rhino Sports, have Warriors’ new main sponsor Stratstone MINI Tyneside proudly displayed on the chest and predominantly feature the club’s beloved maroon but controversially with much less gold.
Operations Manager Paul Matthews explained the choice for the unusual design. “We wanted to go a little old school,” he told us. “In the early 1980s, there was no gold on the shirt, only white and maroon so we thought we’d pay tribute to the teams of that era with this design.”
The warm up shirts are once again sponsored by Xercise4Less of Whitley Road Leisure Park in Benton and again feature gold and black as their main colours. These shirts will be auctioned to fans later in the season.
Replica shirts will be available from The Ice Box at Whitley Bay Ice Rink from Friday 31 August 2018 but can be pre-ordered from iceboxskating.co.uk from tonight.
The actual game shirts will be available to sponsor from 7pm on Monday 3 September exclusively online at whitleywarriors.net – look out for further announcements.
Whitley Warriors would like to say thanks to all their sponsors for their continued support.
