Whitley Warriors travelled down to Ice Sheffield to take on the Sutton Sting on Sunday afternoon in a NIHL North Division 1 match up. Warriors started the game positively and took the lead in the opening period of action when Whitley forward DJ Good fired past the highly thought of Dmitri Zimzodra in the home side’s goal.
Warriors entertained the Sutton Sting on Sunday evening at their Hillheads base. Sting came into the match up on the back of a 4-2 success on Saturday evening against the Solihull Barons however Sutton were behind 7 minutes into the game when Shaun Kippin netted a short handed effort after some excellent approach play from the lively Callum Watson

Michael Elder had opened the scoring for the home side 4 minutes into the contest when he fired past Mark Turnbull in the Whitley net however the scores were soon level though as Dean Holland equalised three minutes later with a powerful slapshot.
