Whitley Warriors young forward Callum Queenan has been named in the GB under 18’s squad that will travel to Estonia in March for Division 2 Group A of the World Championships.

Warriors will be looking to build upon last weekend’s superb 5-3 success against the Solway Sharks which saw influential forward Adam Reynolds back on the Whitley roster after a lengthy spell out of action due to a broken ankle.
Whitley Warriors Head Coach Simon Leach has announced that he will step down from his current role with the club at the end of the current campaign. Simon hopes that he will be able to help Warriors in the future in a number of off ice areas and is keen to remain part of the organisation he has been involved with for around 25 years.
Whitley Warriors have a hectic January schedule to contend with as Simon Leach's side have 7 NIHL North games in the month .It is hoped that Adam Reynolds Warriors top scorer from last season will be back in the Whitley line up after being out of action for a number of months with a broken ankle.
A look ahead to Warriors home clash with the Blackburn Hawks on Sunday 21st December (5pm face off) when Whitley take on the league leaders at Hillheads ice rink in Whitley Bay.
This weekend sees the first Tyne Tees derby of the 2014/15 campaign when the Billingham Stars travel to Whitley Bay on Sunday evening on take on the Warriors in a NIHL North Division 1 encounter. Warriors are hopeful of a bumper crowd for the derby match up as the club have been promoting the game inviting all hockey fans from the north east to the match.
Warriors take on Stars on Sunday December 14th at Hillheads ice rink in Whitley Bay in the eagerly anticipated first Tyne Tees derby of the 2014/15 campaign. Warriors are inviting all north east hockey fans both old and new to Hillheads for the game to see NIHL North hockey at its best.
