Whitley Warriors are delighted to confirm the re-signing of forward Jamie Ord for their upcoming campaign.
Heading into his seventh season with the Warriors, 22-year-old Ord started out with Whitley’s junior setup, progressing to captain the Under 15s in his 2015-16 campaign further to icing for the Under 18s to collectively record 41 goals and 9 assists across 22 league games.
In the following season, Ord made his senior debut with the Warriors, collecting 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 league games whilst also fulfilling the role of alternate captain for the Under 18s and tallying 33 points in 17 appearances for the Under 20s.
Ord divided his ice time between the Under 20s team and Warriors until he made the step to senior hockey in 2021, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 4 others in the process. Although unable to play the entire season in the last campaign, he still managed 5 goals and 3 assists.
Looking forward to working with Head Coach Tony Hand, Ord told us, “Tony’s knowledge and experience will have a positive impact on the team.”
Hand was equally complimentary about Ord: “Jamie is a young player that has been around the squad for a few years and gives us real depth.”
