Whitley Warriors are delighted to welcome forward Ben Richards back to the roster after taking a short break from hockey last season.
Ben came through the ranks of Whitley Bay Junior Ice Hockey Club before breaking into the senior team in 2012-13 and played for Great Britain Under-18 in 2013-14. A firm fan favourite, 22-year-old Ben was voted into the top three of Hillheads Player of the Year in 2017-18 and is widely regarded as a talent in the roster.
“I am delighted to be asked to re-sign for the upcoming season,” Ben told is. “After some well-needed time out last year I’m now ready come back and play in front of the great fans we get week in week out!
“I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, we’ve got a really good group of lads and I think we have every chance in the league this year. Hope everyone enjoys their summer and I’ll see you all soon.”
