Adam Finlinson was the derby day hero on Sunday evening, striking late on as Whitley Warriors recovered from 3-1 down to pick up a hard earned 4-3 victory away to Billingham Stars.
Whitley Warriors took on the Telford Tigers on Sunday evening on home ice at Hillheads in Whitley Bay. Warriors welcomed back Ryan Sample into their line up after the power forward had a lengthy spell away from competitive hockey. Whitley skipper Dean Holland also came back into the Warriors line up to boost the home side’s roster further.

Warriors were able to name a strong roster of players including the likes of DJ Good, Callum Watson, Harry Harley and Shaun Kippin who were skippered by uncompromising d man Dan Pye. Warriors in form forward Shaun Kippin was coming up against his former side for the 2nd time in 2 weeks following his 7 point haul in North Wales recently.
Whitley Warriors faced the Nottingham Lions on Sunday evening at their Hillheads base on North Tyneside. Warriors were skippered by the experienced d man Dan Pye as Warriors were without regular captain Dean Holland. Mark Turnbull started the game in goal for Whitley after a superb start to the campaign for the talented young goaltender.
Whitley Warriors headed to North Wales on Sunday evening for a league clash with the Deeside Dragons. Warriors welcomed former Deeside favourite Shaun Kippin back into their line up as the popular forward became available once again following suspension.
Whitley Warriors went down to a heart-breaking overtime defeat to Blackburn Hawks on Sunday evening following a pulsating game between two evenly matched teams.
