Warriors travelled down to Shropshire with a strong roster. Richie Lawson started the game in nets and Whitley had 5 blue liners and 9 forwards enabling Simon Leach’s side to play 3 line hockey for most of the game. Warriors started the game on the front foot and peppered Titans goal early on as Telford picked up 2 early penalties to give Whitley a 5 on 3 power play. Maroon Madness a great success as Warriors lose out to Champs in low scoring contest

Whitley Warriors took on Solway Sharks in 2 challenge games last weekend going down to a 9-1 defeat in Dumfries on Saturday evening before narrowly losing out by 2 goals to 1 on home ice the following night. Whitley travelled to Scotland on Saturday without first choice goaltender Richie Lawson and defencemen Ross Hanlon and Josh Maddock. Captain DJ Good got Warriors’ goal with Jamie Tinsley picking up the assist. Blue liner Tommy Ralph was chosen as Whitley’s Man of the Match. Harley signs for Peterborough in the EPL – Harry honoured to have iced for Warriors

Harry Harley has left Whitley Warriors to sign for Peterborough Phantoms of the English Premier League. Harry made 28 appearances for Warriors last term picking up 22 points and putting in a number of impressive displays at both ends of the ice. Harry guested for the Phantoms on a couple of occasions last season when Peterborough were missing players due to international call ups, and he thoroughly impressed Peterborough coach Jon Kynaston who has also coached Harry at junior international level.
